DontLeaveTownGavin.com started several years ago as a music commentary destination (read: I was jealous of my supremely talented, artistic friends so I did what any half-respectable, talentless young man would do…start a blog to judge other people’s art). I am focused on providing readers with an accurate, concise, and opinionated portrayal of the events that pertain to the Emo, Hardcore, and Indie scenes.
DLTG’s moto, “Making sense of our Emo-Hardcore-Indie scene” is precisely what I am striving to do. Too often music news is brought to you in small pieces from many different sources. DLTG’s aim is to consolidate and explain all those different sources, all the while adding my own take on the events.
About Gavin:
Gavin is a character that finds his way into songs and band names alike. However, Gavin is not in reference to any particular band or song. Rather, he symbolizes acceptance, commitment, and passion; traits our scene was built upon. We (re: my Charmeleon action figure and I), here at the DLTG bungalow never want Gavin to leave town.
